Senior Tax Relation Accountant

This client relations position is ideal for someone with experience preparing tax returns for at least the last two tax seasons for a single or multi-family office and who has the ambition to further their career.

We are seeking an individual with excellent verbal, written, and client communication skills, along with a positive, can-do attitude. The ideal candidate is quick to adapt to new technology and software, has strong attention to detail, values efficiency, and demonstrates excellent people skills.

This person should be comfortable working directly with clients and able to provide effective feedback to senior tax staff and clients regarding engagement requests, research, and project updates. They should also be able to coordinate, prepare, and administer tax services and communications for significant clients and family offices.

Primary services include individual and family office tax services and advisory, multi-state, domestic and international income tax planning and preparation, strategic business consulting, estate planning and administration, trustee services, and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, prepare, and administer tax services and communications for significant clients and family offices.

Work directly with clients in a professional and client-facing role.

Provide effective feedback to senior tax staff and clients on engagement requests.

Assist with research and project updates.

Prepare tax returns for individuals, family offices, and high-net-worth clients.

Support client relations and communication throughout the engagement process.

Adapt quickly to new technology, software, and internal processes.

Maintain strong attention to detail and efficiency in all assigned work.

Work independently and as part of a team.

Lead, motivate, manage, and mentor staff when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years of quality tax preparation experience, preferably in family office or public accounting.

CPA designation is preferred but not required.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. A Master of Science in Taxation is ideal.

Experience preparing business and corporate tax returns, in addition to individual tax returns, is a plus.

Family office and high-net-worth experience is preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lead, motivate, manage, and mentor staff.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, peers, and other contacts.

Sound technical skills, business judgment, and client satisfaction judgment.

Above-average proficiency in Excel and Word.

GoSystem experience is a plus.
