As Managing Partner, Alan leads Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen & Co., LLP, (, a premier tax and family office advisory firm located in San Francisco Bay Area’s Silicon Valley.  GROCO has won several awards including top 25 best managed CPA firm in the nation.  Alan is a respected leader in his field with over 25-years of tax advisory experience serving some of the most influential and successful entrepreneurs and Venture Capitalists in the world.  These clients have helped fund and make successful Google, Space X, Tesla, Baidu, Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and many others. Alan and GROCO's core competencies are advising high net-worth individual and family office clients in tax and financial strategies objectively, they never sell investments. As a specialist in income tax, Alan frequently lectures, writes, and has been quoted on KPIX, KRON, in Consumer Reports, CNN Business, Fox Business, Bloomberg and other leading publications.

Alan is also actively involved in the community. Since 2011 he has hosted American Dreams, a radio and social media show where he interviews top CEOs, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, tech and thought leaders who share their path in life and what it took for them to build their success.  These interviews are posted on YouTube, so anyone that needs the information has free access, over 4 million views and counting!  Alan is a current member of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy and Research (S.I.E.P.R.). SIEPR’s goal is to improve long-term economic policy. Alan has served on President Kim Clark's BYU-Idaho Advancement council. President Clark led the Harvard Business School programs for 30 years prior to joining BYU-Idaho. Alan is currently a member of the board of Trustees for SVU (Southern Virginia University); and received the Silver Beaver award from the Boy Scouts of America for his many years of distinguished service.  Alan earned a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University and earned his MBA at California State University at Hayward. When not helping someone with tax advice or hosting American Dreams, Alan can be found enjoying a Golden State Warriors game with his family, many grandchildren or once in a great while, fly fishing deep in the backcountry of Wyoming or his native Montana.
