Today their are literally thousands of internet home-based business opportunities fighting for the attention of prospects looking to start their own home business. There are also millions of people who start internet home businesses but only 3% are actually successful.

You’re considering internet home-based business as a business opportunity because you have heard the story of someone who struck it rich and never had to work a day in their life ever again. ***

Every morning you wake up and make the commute to work, with dreams of that day when you can give your boss the pink slip. Thoughts similar to this probably cross your mind each time you’re asked to do something for the good of the company regardless of how bad it is for you.

Maybe you have had to give up weekend plans… Brave extreme weather conditions… Not receive a pay raise because the company you work for made poor business decisions.

Does this sound familiar?

Many dreams of the promise of internet marketing, but few consider the sacrifices that must be made to make their dreams come.

If so, it is important to ask yourself some very important questions before you make the uncertain leap into building your business.

Consider these important questions:

Can you go without social interaction with fellow employees about topics such as what’s going on in politics or the drama that happened last night on reality tv?

If not, then internet marketing may not be the right decision for you.

If you feel content sitting alone at your desk; speaking only to prospects and business associates, while at the same time minding your own business, then you might have what it takes to succeed this endeavor.

Are you self motivated?

Self-motivation is a determining factor. You need to possess the ability to push yourself ahead.

Your success greatly depends on the time and effort you are willing to put into your new business.

Skills like organization, planning and marketing, will all be put to the test while your on the path to free yourself from being an employee and becoming an entrepreneur.

Can you depend on yourself?

Internet business building brings the promise of no longer having someone over your shoulder watching your every move and directing you to do your work.

Are you truly able to work independently? Do you have the determination; to pursue your dreams of owning an internet business? Can you invest the much needed time to nurture it, to watch it grow and produce fruit?

Remember as an internet based network marketer you are the wearer of all hats. You are the marketer, account, copywriter and secretary.

Here’s the Good News

When you work at home, you become empowered to achieve many more things that you were unable to do when you were stuck working for that oppressive boss. You can’t forget him. He`s the one that wouldn`t let you take time off when your child was sick…the same one that called you in to work on Thanksgiving Day.

An internet home business means that you can take good care of your family and make money from home, at the same time.

You will have the best of both worlds! Just think–no more missing items on your home projects to do list–you can do it while you work. No more worring about finding a qualified babysitter either. And no more worrying about getting fired; you can fire your boss!

IN CONCLUSION…

Stay positive and focused on building your business even if sales aren`t up to par. Bear in mind that success is only for those who desire and work for it!

The American Dreams show was the brainchild of Alan Olsen, CPA, MBA. It was originally created to fill a specific need; often inexperienced entrepreneurs lacked basic information about raising capital and how to successfully start a business.

Alan sincerely wanted to respond to the many requests from aspiring entrepreneurs asking for the information and introductions they needed. But he had to find a way to help in which his venture capital clients and friends would not mind.

The American Dreams show became the solution, first as a radio show and now with YouTube videos as well. Always respectful of interview guest’s time, he’s able to give access to individuals information and inspiration previously inaccessible to the first-time entrepreneurs who need it most.

They can listen to venture capitalists and successful business people explain first-hand, how they got to where they are, how to start a company, how to overcome challenges, how they see the future evolving, opportunities, work-life balance and so much more..

American Dreams discusses many topics from some of the world’s most successful individuals about their secrets to life’s success. Topics from guest have included:

Creating purpose in life / Building a foundation for their life / Solving problems / Finding fulfillment through philanthropy and service / Becoming self-reliant / Enhancing effective leadership / Balancing family and work…
