Great Places for Veggie Eaters Traveling to Europe

Ready for your next big vacation to Europe? The sites, the sounds, the scenery, and of course, the wonderful smells from all the delicious cuisine. Food lovers enjoy partaking of all the delectable tastes that European countries have to offer. But alas, you are a vegetarian, and because of that, you’re not sure how you’re going to survive the trip without giving up your veggie principles. Relax, because there are plenty of great places to visit in Europe that are a vegetarian’s delight – even though a vegetarian diet is not the norm in many other parts of the world.

Greece

Although Greece is certainly a meat-heavy country, there are also plenty of vegetarian options available. For starters, you can usually get your fill from a big Greek salad that is served with almost every meal. There are plenty of bread options, in addition to the fruit and vegetable stands that are also readily available. That means you should never go hungry when visiting Greece, and you won’t have to compromise your diet.

Spain

With several favorite non-meat dishes available in the country, Spain is a great place for vegetarians to travel. From the popular Tortilla Española to an omelet made from eggs and potatoes, you have plenty of delicious choices.

Italy

Italy is famous for a lot of things, including pizza and pasta. While these are not necessarily the healthiest options available, you can always get a good slice of pie without the meat. Likewise, you can find plenty of pasta dishes, soups, and salads just about anywhere you go in Italy, making this one of the best countries to visit if you live the vegetarian lifestyle.

European Countries Vegetarians might want to avoid

Of course, not everywhere you go in Europe is going to be the perfect spot for vegetarians. In fact, there are some popular spots that vegetarians might want to avoid if they want to stick to their strict no-meat diet.

Germany

The land of beer and bratwurst is definitely not the first place you want to visit if you are opposed to eating meat. Meat makes up a large part of most meals in Berlin and other cities in Germany, so you might want to bring some snacks with you just in case. While finding vegetarian options is not unheard of, it can be difficult.

France

People from all over the world have an infatuation with France and its romantic feel, but there is not much love for vegetarians in this part of the world. If you can live off of cheese and tomato sandwiches, then you can probably get by, but otherwise finding a lot of cuisine served without meat is not easy. However, don’t let a limited vegetarian diet prevent you from discovering one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

The American Dreams show was the brainchild of Alan Olsen, CPA, MBA. It was originally created to fill a specific need; often inexperienced entrepreneurs lacked basic information about raising capital and how to successfully start a business.

Alan sincerely wanted to respond to the many requests from aspiring entrepreneurs asking for the information and introductions they needed. But he had to find a way to help in which his venture capital clients and friends would not mind.

The American Dreams show became the solution, first as a radio show and now with YouTube videos as well. Always respectful of interview guest’s time, he’s able to give access to individuals information and inspiration previously inaccessible to the first-time entrepreneurs who need it most.

They can listen to venture capitalists and successful business people explain first-hand, how they got to where they are, how to start a company, how to overcome challenges, how they see the future evolving, opportunities, work-life balance and so much more..

American Dreams discusses many topics from some of the world’s most successful individuals about their secrets to life’s success. Topics from guest have included:

Creating purpose in life / Building a foundation for their life / Solving problems / Finding fulfillment through philanthropy and service / Becoming self-reliant / Enhancing effective leadership / Balancing family and work…
