Try These Apps to Really Save Money On Food

When was the last time you went to the grocery store or had a meal at a restaurant? Chances are it hasn’t been too long. However, the way people shop is changing. Even eating “out” and buying grocery is becoming less common all the time. Amazon is making online grocery shopping and delivery a norm instead of an outlier. Additionally, more stores and restaurants are partnering with Uber and other driving services to deliver food on demand.

Best Apps for Saving Money

Furthermore, there are literally dozens of apps designed to make shopping easier and save you money. Of course, not all of these apps are created equal and some offer better deals than others. With that in mind let’s take a look at some of the top apps for saving you money on food.

OpenTable App – this app is all about your dining convenience. Designed to make reservations easy by simply saving your table with a few touches, this app also saves you money by earning rewards. That’s right. The more you use this app to make reservations, the more points you earn, which can then be used as credit for free food. After you rack up enough points you can redeem them with a $20 gift card to use at other restaurants affiliated with OpenTable. Or, if you prefer to spend the money elsewhere, you can just take a $10 gift card with Amazon, instead.

Grocery Pal – this app is truly your pal and it works hard to save you money. You start by making your list and then the app will compare the prices of your items at several stores. In addition, you can check out all the available coupons and specials, which you can print out and use when you do your shopping.

Grocery iQ – this is another popular choice for buying groceries. So if you’re into making a grocery list when you do your shopping, then Grocery iQ for you. You simply add your needed items to the app wait for it to quickly sort your list. It will feature any discounts for those items so you know what to shop for.

Chili’s – if you like Mexican food the Chili’s app is right up your alley. This makes dining “out” very convenient. For starters, you can place an order to go, from your phone, if you’re on the move. If you want to enjoy your meal in the restaurant but you don’t have a lot of time to wait in line, you can reserve your spot before you get there. Chili’s also gives you points for every dollar you spend, which you can use for just about anything at several locations, including Rite Aid and Macy’s, to name just a couple.

Whole Foods Market – Whole Foods is not for everyone, but if you’re a fan of the store then you should be using this app. Choose the location you frequent the most often and then quickly browse the most current deals. You don’t even have to print the coupon. Just have the checker scan your app to redeem the discount

The American Dreams show was the brainchild of Alan Olsen, CPA, MBA. It was originally created to fill a specific need; often inexperienced entrepreneurs lacked basic information about raising capital and how to successfully start a business.

Alan sincerely wanted to respond to the many requests from aspiring entrepreneurs asking for the information and introductions they needed. But he had to find a way to help in which his venture capital clients and friends would not mind.

The American Dreams show became the solution, first as a radio show and now with YouTube videos as well. Always respectful of interview guest’s time, he’s able to give access to individuals information and inspiration previously inaccessible to the first-time entrepreneurs who need it most.

They can listen to venture capitalists and successful business people explain first-hand, how they got to where they are, how to start a company, how to overcome challenges, how they see the future evolving, opportunities, work-life balance and so much more..

American Dreams discusses many topics from some of the world’s most successful individuals about their secrets to life’s success. Topics from guest have included:

Creating purpose in life / Building a foundation for their life / Solving problems / Finding fulfillment through philanthropy and service / Becoming self-reliant / Enhancing effective leadership / Balancing family and work…
