World’s 50-Best Restauants

Looking for the world’s 50-best places to eat?  In an attempt to offer a small ray of hope to those thinking about when life returns to normal, we thought some of our readers might find a 50-best restaurants article hopeful.

Why this article now?

This article was updated during the COVID-19 pandemic…   Now that certain areas are beginning to allow limited travel and outdoor dining, many are planning vacations and looking for some of the best dining experiences from around the world. Obviously, this list will not include any of the standard chain restaurants serving burgers and chicken wings, not that there is anything wrong with those options. However, for those with a more distinguished food palate and the ability to dine in locations around the globe, these have been identified as some of the best restaurants in the world.

A word of caution when considering fine dining while traveling.

When considering dining at any of these top restaurants, please note that some of the research data available for compiling our 50-best restaurants in the world, came from sources as far back as 2019, as such, we have not been able to confirm that all are currently open for business nor their current seating/reservation policies, so please call ahead before going too far in your planning process.  But if available, we are confident that all of them offer what promises to be an extraordinary experience.

The list

According to 2019’s list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, published by William Reed Business Media, here are a few of the restaurants listed, along with their cities and past ranking in parenthesis. Click here to see the entire list.  Though, in all fairness, your favorite place to eat may not be on this list of Worlds top-50 best places to eat, rank  five stars, or even one.  And that’s okay, your favorite place is defined by you.  Restaurants both large and small, new and old all need our support.  So go out there and eat, just not too much…
