Well, there’s certain things that are that are somewhat characteristic of an individual. One, you have to have something you’re passionate about, I don’t care what that is, it can be, you can try it, you can reassign it, if you will, to a business entity, but you have to be able to be to go all in to put yourself to put yourself out there, you have to be willing to fail, you have to be, you know, as accepting the fact that I think this is a great idea, go forward with it with the intention of success. And you may find out wow, that wasn’t exactly how I thought that was gonna go. But then not letting that deter you for keeping moving forward, take the best of what that is. And then move ahead, make a change. So passion, for sure. And something that you something that you really understand. I mean, you if you start off because it looks good on a business portfolio, or how do you want to look at a spreadsheet, if you ever cannot make money at it, sooner or later, you’re going to find I don’t think you really have your heart in it. And that probably won’t be the best venture. So one common thing I try to give the people that are going to be better and going to be next is what do you want to learn from? What matters? If you if you find people, I don’t care, it’s not restricted. I mean, you can run from the most prominent CEOs in the world down to someone you know, from a neighbor. Why do you want to learn from? And then what do you want? If you go seek the knowledge as opposed to go looking for an answer? You’ll find more answers. But you’ll create more questions from people that are willing to engage in you because you’re worth that time. Go find out who you want to learn from. And you can make those environments happen. Really easy. People look at MBA programs or study programs, and they all are positive and contributed. But I think if you go look to where you can engage with someone who will impart what they know already, and you can assimilate that that’s where you’re going to have the most. That’s where you’re going to gain the most knowledge.

The American Dreams show was the brainchild of Alan Olsen, CPA, MBA. It was originally created to fill a specific need; often inexperienced entrepreneurs lacked basic information about raising capital and how to successfully start a business.

Alan sincerely wanted to respond to the many requests from aspiring entrepreneurs asking for the information and introductions they needed. But he had to find a way to help in which his venture capital clients and friends would not mind.

The American Dreams show became the solution, first as a radio show and now with YouTube videos as well. Always respectful of interview guest’s time, he’s able to give access to individuals information and inspiration previously inaccessible to the first-time entrepreneurs who need it most.

They can listen to venture capitalists and successful business people explain first-hand, how they got to where they are, how to start a company, how to overcome challenges, how they see the future evolving, opportunities, work-life balance and so much more.

American Dreams discusses many topics from some of the world’s most successful individuals about their secrets to life’s success. Topics from guest have included:

Creating purpose in life / Building a foundation for their life / Solving problems / Finding fulfillment through philanthropy and service / Becoming self-reliant / Enhancing effective leadership / Balancing family and work…
