Best Amusement Parks to Visit This Fall

Summer is over and vacation season has come to an end, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have any future opportunities for a getaway this fall. There are some great places you can visit if you’re looking for a little break from the ordinary this fall, including numerous exciting amusement parks. Even though the weather might not be as warm, fall is a great time to go, because many of these parks are a lot less crowded, than they are during the summer.

From famous theme parks to indoor water parks, you’ve got dozens of options if you want to get away for the weekend, or just take a few days off for some family fun.

Dells Water Parks, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

This city located in southern Wisconsin is home to numerous waterparks, including Noah’s Ark, the largest water park in the country. It also features both indoor and outdoor parks. So even though it’s fall you can still enjoy some great water slides.

Knotts Berry Farm, Anaheim, California

Come for the candy and stay for the roller coasters and water park. This park was originally created for employees of the nearby Hershey Chocolate factory but now millions enjoy the park every year.

Disneyland, Anaheim, California

Of course, speaking of Disney, a great time is always waiting to be had at the house of mouse. The weather is usually perfect during the fall and the park is not nearly as crowded, making fall a wonderful time to experience the happiest place on earth.

Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly park head to Knoebels, which offers free admittance and parking. Nostalgic visitors will enjoy the old-fashioned feel to this park.

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Orlando, Florida

What list of top amusement parks would be complete without a Disney park? In this case, head to Disney World where you can enjoy several days of attractions and still not cover everything. Plus, Disney is always less crowded in the fall.

Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Orlando, Florida

For another great park in Orlando, make a stop into Universal’s Island of Adventure for all kinds of options, including all things Harry Potter, roller coasters, and a great nightlife.

Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia, California

This is another amazing spot for thrill seekers. The park is full of roller coasters and other thrill rides that will fill any adrenaline junkie’s need for a rush.
