Interview Transcript:

McKay Thomas
I’m very much interested in building my family. I moved down to Brazil with a four month old, I moved back from Brazil with a five month old son that was actually born down in Brazil. And while we were down there, my wife and I, we went through everything that any couple would go through, when you find out you’re pregnant, have lots of questions. And even though it was our second, we still had lots of things that we didn’t know how to do. And we said lots of things that were concerning us. And yeah, because we’re in a foreign country. And because we were so making our way around Portuguese, it became very obvious to us that we want more help. And it just became obvious to me, you know, in my entrepreneur brains like man, should there be a solution to this problem? Should there be a way for new parents to be able to have very quick access to a doctor just to kind of ask those little questions. And on top of that, we were seeing some really interesting things out of our audience at baby dot kind of VR and jinda.com fer things like what you know, we had a community, our Facebook community down there was over a million strong. And we were seeing lots of really interesting behaviors in our Facebook page when you get moms asking questions. And the questions that they’re asking in our, you know, random Facebook page, we’re getting hundreds and hundreds of comments, moms that wanted information want to participate in the discussion. And we I just started noticing some interesting behaviors about how moms didn’t have access to credible sources. And I basically realized that there’s a ton of content online, there’s no way to know if it applies to you. And I wanted it I wanted to bring a credible voice to that information. And so the idea there is giving people access to a doctor, real doctor who can listen to you and tell you exactly what applies in real time. 24 hours a day.

The American Dreams show was the brainchild of Alan Olsen, CPA, MBA. It was originally created to fill a specific need; often inexperienced entrepreneurs lacked basic information about raising capital and how to successfully start a business.

Alan sincerely wanted to respond to the many requests from aspiring entrepreneurs asking for the information and introductions they needed. But he had to find a way to help in which his venture capital clients and friends would not mind.

The American Dreams show became the solution, first as a radio show and now with YouTube videos as well. Always respectful of interview guest’s time, he’s able to give access to individuals information and inspiration previously inaccessible to the first-time entrepreneurs who need it most.

They can listen to venture capitalists and successful business people explain first-hand, how they got to where they are, how to start a company, how to overcome challenges, how they see the future evolving, opportunities, work-life balance and so much more.

American Dreams discusses many topics from some of the world’s most successful individuals about their secrets to life’s success. Topics from guest have included:

Creating purpose in life / Building a foundation for their life / Solving problems / Finding fulfillment through philanthropy and service / Becoming self-reliant / Enhancing effective leadership / Balancing family and work…
